In a small private ceremony attended by some 30 individuals, ground was broken for the Tegucigalpa Honduras Temple at its new location in southwestern Tegucigalpa near the ToncontÃn International Airport.
Ground had previously been broken over two years ago in eastern Tegucigalpa at the originally selected site next to the institute building and across from the Catholic Our Lady of Suyapa Basilica. Shortly after excavation, construction was halted by City and citizen objection to the location of the temple. By January 2009, the Church announced that another location would be selected for the temple. The site selected is a parcel of land near Colonia Residencial Los Robles.
Sincerely,
